How do guys/gals quickly create regions?

I am currently using Vegas for some light duty voicing work and need to pick your brain about the best way to quickly create a time selection and ultimately a region for exporting my spots.

Is there a key command to quickly and accurately create a time selection around a series of events that are butted up against each other? I have tried dragging....dragging with SHIFT down....many different combos with not much luck.

I also cannot get "snapping" to work right. I came across one very obscure key command SHIFT-CTRL-ALT-Drag that is supposed to create a time selection that snaps to the event boundaries...but sometimes it works...sometimes it doesn't...it's a fistfull to try and execute fast....

Any tips?

Cheers!

There are probably as many favorite methods as there are people posting here. I just tried this one and it seems to work pretty well:

Make sure the track in question is selected. Use Ctrl-Alt-arrows to move to the beginning of the first event you want to select. Press i to set the in point. Use Ctrl-Alt-arrows to move to then end of the last event you want to select. Press o to set the out point.
