How do I control which clips FX apply to

I'm new to Vegas Platinum 8. I have been trying to use the video and audio FX.

The problem I'm having is controlling which clips I apply them to. They seem to "bleed" across all clips. For example, I have two clips where I need to boost and tweak the audio. When I do, the FX applies to all clips in the project.

I had a series of about 60 clips where I was trying to adjust the white balance. I would have 5 adjacent in which I'd want to apply a setting followed by 7 clips where I'd want to apply a different setting, followed by 3 where I want another setting, etc. Whenever I adjust in one place, it affects the white balance adversely in other parts of the video.

How do I control exactly which clips an audio or video setting applies to?

Thanks.

It sounds like you may be applying the effects at project level instead of event level.
For video click on the fx icon on the clip not the fx icon above the preview screen. If you want the same effect on more than one but not all rt click/copy/paste attributes on successive clips.
Hope this helps some.

Thank you jimmyz. That did the trick. The copy/paste attributes was exactly what I was looking for. Applying at the event level fixed my problem.

Thanks again!
