How do I create this intro in VP 18?

I have the individual components to make a similar intro, but don't know the easiest way to go about putting it all together in VP 18. I know it will take indiviual tracks for all the different graphics. I was hoping to make some kind of template to do this for more videos, but not sure how. Can anyone help?

@huskereurocat Hi, I don't know if you can follow this & this is in VP21 but I believe all these options are in VP18,

Vegas doesn't save keyframes & any effect/transition you add to an event on the timeline would either be lost when you replaced the media in future projects or you'd have to Copy n Paste,

I created this & saved it as a project. All effects are on the tracks not the events,

I tried using Track Motion for the movement but when the media gets changed any keyframes get deleted with it, so I used Picture in Picture for the movement,

The Bezier mask just restricts the view top n bottom, (you might only need one mask but added one to each track, one showing the top & one showing the bottom.

The Linear blur is keyframed to match the movement,

Saved as a project it can be opened & the media can be replaced, with a little adjustment in Pan/Crop for correct position.

@Former user  Working through this to create my own project file. It OK if I hit you with questions? I'm sure I'll have some because some of this is pretty deep for me tbh.

But once the project is made I can then load the project like in your last step, add in my own media and do a Save As to leave the original project intact, correct?

@huskereurocat Hi, yes you're prob better saving under a new name as soon as you open it,so as you say 'leave the original project intact' 👍

@Former user OK, so I'm stuck. I don't seem to be able to create the animated action the way that I thought it should work.

Silly me, I thought that all I had to do is create a keyframe where the images are right now and one, about a second and a half out, that closed up the gaps. The top would go right and the bottom would go left and I could be done with it. The only problem is that when I try to do that the image only budges slightly and I don't know how to make it close the black gap in the time that I want it too.

I'm confused about the steps after with the Bezier Masking and the Linear Blur effects. Can you give me a little guidance on going forward with this? TBH, I had to watch a couple of you tube videos about how to create a picture in picture effect because I've never done it before.

If you're an english speaker, having sound commentary on the video you provided would be awesome, but whatever you can do to help will be appreciated! 😟

Don't have the sapphire plug-in and doubt I'll be getting VP21. I'm on a fixed income and don't have the funds right now, but thanks anyway.
