How do I display the frame count?

I have a two hour event that I have reduced to two preliminary 1 hour videos for an organization. It used two cams. The preliminary video shows vid from cam 1 reduced in size and pushed into the lower left corner. The cam 2 vid is also reduced and in the upper right. The organization will decide what footage and possibly from what cams to include in the final form of a video which will be 45 minutes in length.

I would like to display the frame count, clock or some similar progressing index in the lower right so we can make reference. Is there a simple way to do this in Vegas?

The SMPTE filter has an option for how you want it to display - one of the options is feet/frames.

If you haven't already, create a solid color background track as the bottom track and make sure it stretches the entire length of the program, then just drop the "Timecode" Video FX on the track.
