How do I light up text in vegas

How do I light up text in vegas as If each letter were beams of laser white lights blinding the viewer flashing across the screen. where can I learn this & lots of eye candy effects in vegas.

vasst.com is a good place. Light rays might be the effect you want to start with.
Use the help function and search for light rays.

Radiance which is a plugin for vegas, VASST site,, or if you have AE which you were askin about , trapcodes shine is the plug for AE,, the most overused plug in the history of all mankind, but still cool.

A cool thing I've done a few times is...

Duplicate your text onto another Track.
Alter the size a little (Pan/Crop or Track Motion)
Add the effect to the Lower Track.

Makes it appear as though the Glow or Shine is coming from behind the Text.
(may be a cool look depending on what you've got planned)
