How do I rename Generated Text?

I've made about 50 generated text clips in my project. Up to this point I have not been able to "rename" the clips. All of them are "Sonic Foundry Text 001" , "Sonic Foundry Text 002" and so on and so on. When I view the text clips in the media bins it's impossible to tell one clip from the other without clicking every damn one of them! This is a total waste of time! Who can come up with a better solution for me?

Vegas really is starting to....

Did you ask this last week, or was it someone else? They can't be renamed. For a simple solution though...

view the thumbnails instead of just the filenames. That should give you a good description. Also...

make a folder for each name you want the clips, then drop/drag each clip into it's own folder. It wouldn't take any more time then rename the clips themselves: you just make a folder with the name you want and drop/drag the clip in there.

I've been doing that and it's a real pain in the ass because I can't see the s very well which causes me to look at the name of the clip which puts me back to square one.

Vegas needs this feature! Without it my stress level increases and my efficiency decreases....as do my pills!

Do you mean you're looking at the thumbnails of the folder name thing? If you're doing the folder name thing and you're having a hard time reading it, adjust the font size/bold in the display properties. i had to do that because i upped my monitor res to 1600x1200 from 1024x768.
