I finished editing a 4k file and would like to render it into 4k so I can upload to youtube, but I do not see that option. can some knowledgeable person please advise? thanks!
Just render your project to XAVC-S or Intra, and upload the resulting .MXF file. YouTube will do the rest.
I would upload intra frame over S, just to keep the bit rate high, so YouTube can toss the extra info. This depends on the bitrate and quality of your source material.
I did the .mxf file and uploaded to YouTube but after processing there was no sound. I had to customize one of the .mp4 templates to render as the project size. In regards it the .mxf file, that sounded like the best option and will try again to see if it was user error. Thanks.
I used to use Vegas2Handbrake for 4K YT videos but I have recently changed to uploading XAVC-S. The files are bigger the. the Handbrake output and you need a fairly good internet connection but the results are IMHO better.
