files or tracks ?? I recorded a stereo .wav file with SoundForge, & opened it in Vegas 2.0. Now I have one track with a stereo file in it, and I'd really like get 'em separated so I can work with separate files / tracks. I KNOW THIS is possible ! Someone help me over this senior moment, please !

Thanks !

The only way to do it would be to create a duplicate track and then pan them one to the left and one to the right.

if you have sound forge, dump the stereo track into sound forge, break it into two mono files, import the files into vegas.

you can do this VERY easily in Vegas 3 or Vegas 4. Just right click on the stereo event and choose the Channels option and select left, right, or combine

otherwise you have to do it in the ways described above
