How do I tag tracks in a long performance?

crumbar wrote on 5/21/2006, 9:33 AM
I have and hour long performance. It's one continuous stereo track. I want each song to be a separate track on the CD. I don't want any fade outs or fade ins so that when the CD is played it sound continuous, yet I want to be able to go to a particular song if I want to.

How do I do it? Placing markers at each point doesn't work.

RTFM ! Or RTFH.

This is the most basic functionality of the application. you do it by pushing one key. I'll leave the challenge of finding which key to you.

Thanks for nothing, jerk.

I did read the help. It says nothing about it I can find. It didn't come with a manual, btw.

The manual is available as a download here:

Insert / CD Track.

There's probably a keyboard shortcut for this. I don't have CD-Architect installed and the manual doesn't mention what it is.

You move the cursor to where you would like to insert a track division and:
1 - Hit T on your keyboard
or
2 - Go to Insert Menu and choose CD Track.
Unless I'm missunderstanding what you want to do, that's all there is to it.

Hey, thanks, jetty. That's the solution. I knew it had to be easy.

You get what this (and all) help forums are for!

Even easier, look in help - it *is* there, very prominently.

Or manual here : http://www.sonymediasoftware.com/download/step1.asp?catid=12

Have fun T-ing away.
