How do you go backwards?

Hi folks, I recently purchased this software after using numerous other editing programs. I like it a lot, except I am having a little trouble finding an option that allows one to make the clip play backwards, if there is such an option.

Does somebody know? I would GREATLY appreciate it if you could drop me an email.

That option isn't available in MS. There's a freeware app that will do it though - try searching this forum.

just found something that looks like it may work - using AviSynth (which hasn't been mentioned here before as far as I know).

The following 'script' (saved as a .avs file) will play the given movie in reverse in a movie player:
--
video = AviSource("c:\movies\others\particle_def.avi")
Reverse(video)
--
... and this can be used with virtualdub in order to create a reversed version of the file...

I've never used them (apart from for this experiment) but it looks like AviSynth and VirtualDub are extremely powerful and flexible tools...
