In Sony Vegas 12 clicking on the keypad 1 and 3 makes the PLAYER jump about 30 frames. Clicking on the keypad 4 and 6 makes the PLAYER move one frame. Neither of these make the CLIP move. How do I move the clip one frame at a time? THANKS

Check the state of the NumLock key.

... and using the 0 on the keypad plays a few seconds of the project.

You can change the playback duration in the 'Options - Preferences - Editing tab - cursor preview duration (seconds). Very helpful when you want to check transition timing or text or what ever.

What if you don't have a numeric keyboard?

Bluetooth numeric keypads are quite cheap :)

@Justin-Delgado, typically keyboards without a numeric keypad have the equivalent on overlaying letter keys on the keyboard (789 is usually 789, uio would be 456, jkl would be 123, "," might be zero and "." would remain a decimal. You would just have to toggle the mode on for those keys to become a numeric keypad.

Could also consider getting a contour shuttle pro. Then you can map the "nudge" keys to two of the buttons, or perhaps even the center wheel.
