It didn't take you long to start criticizing other posters again.

Your posting history BOBO shows you've done NOTHING but criticizing, mostly me. Pot calling kettle black. What a A-hole YOU are!
Your posting history confirms it.

I've called attention to your, and only your, inappropriate and immature behavior. You, however, have attempted to insult dozens of posters.

Zippy, you're full of crap -- it is not "a lot of extra work." The only extra step, in fact, is that you have to slide the comment field to the left. At that point, you're simply filling in the comment field instead of renaming. Please, grow up.

If you asked nicely (not your normal style), perhaps the Sony programmers would add the comment field to the generated media dialog so you can fill it in on creation.

1) The media pool's comment field can be used for "virtual renaming" of a media assett, including generated media.

One reason why this is good: If you rename a source file at the windows level, you'd break the link to that media file in any other project that it (it = the renamed media file)- not so with comment.

2) Generated media is virtual media, and as such it doesn't hog space on the hard drive. Think of it like an effect preset.
