I've been using VV3 for quite some time and now thinking about upgrading to VV4, maybe to +DVD. I've done quite a frew DVD burns, some cool effects, etc, etc. Now I'm thinking about going part time "commercial". I'm still in early stages of research and would like to hear your suggestions and comments. In particular, how much do you charge? Setup fee? Per hour charge? Render time charge? What's refundable what's not? Chapters charge? Menu charge? I'm thinking of creating couple simple profiles, like this:
1. Simple VHS or any other tape conversion to DVD: No menu, just capture all into Vegas, create "complimentary" chapter points every 10 min, burn DVD. I think this should be charged by hours of video.
2. Professional VHS or other tapes conversion to DVD: same as above, but with menu.
What do you guys think? What are your prices, if you dont mind? How much do you charge for any other "special" services? Like creating video effects, audio effects, animations???
