I asked this in the Vegas forum, but nary a comment. So, here goes, again.

To use the new scripts, do you need to own either/both Java, JavaScript, Visual Basic, or just install the newest and latest .NET upgrades from Microsoft?

To use them, you just need the .NET-Framework for your operating system, free download at MS site.To write your own, you need a text-editor of any kind, or the whole .NET SDK.
There is a free development kit available as found in this thread on the Cow forum
