Hi guys,
I have several video track in a project all "source alpha" blending. I then want to use "darken" as a blending mode over one track, no problem, make the Darken track the second from bottom in the project. I now want to use "lighten" as a blending mode over another track but cant do it at the botton of the project as its blacke out by the Darken and cant place it at the top as all track beneath will be affected by "Lighten". Anyway to do this without rendering out?
Thanks

Compositing only affects the one track underneath, or all the children of the compositing track. Putting Lighten on track one will only affect either track 2, or all the children of track 1. It won't affect any tracks beneath that.

You need to composite onto something
For example this clip is shot early morning and is very grey so composite lighten onto media gen gradient to put some gradient color into the clip
This will bring the gradient tones into dark regions and composite darken will place natural tones back
Set levels between tracks for how much.
