How to activate Primatte studio in the Steam version of Vegas Pro 19

Hello, as the title states I am looking how to activate the license for Primatte studio in the steam version of Vegas Pro 19. I have tried adding the product to my account but the Steam version has no serial number. I also tried creating a support ticket with Magix directly and it just takes me to a blank white page after clicking 'Support'. Any help is appreciated!

Usually, BorisFX plugins that come with Vegas Pro are registered and activated on BorisFX's website but that may be different with Steam. Have you checked with Steam to make sure that Primatte Studio is part of their sales offer? I see no mention of Primatte Studio on Steam's webpage for Vegas Pro 19 Edit.

In any event, I don't believe that Primatte Studio ever came with the Vegas Pro 19 Edit version (the basic VP version with no extras) when it was sold directly by Vegas/MAGIX. Primatte Studio only came with the versions of Vegas Pro with extras (plus Vegas Stream and Sound Forge Audio Studio); those versions being named Vegas Pro and Vegas Post. Even though Vegas Pro 19 Edit has the basic Vegas Pro 19 program (as do the other 2 versions), Edit did not have any of the extras that came with the other two versions. And that is still the case with Vegas Pro 20. Unfortunately, the naming conventions of Vegas Pro Edit / Vegas Pro / Vegas Post are confusing particularly in regard to the Edit version.

By the looks of it, Steam only offers the Edit version of Vegas Pro but not the other two versions. Please check the exact name of the Vegas Pro 19 version that you bought from Steam - is it the Edit version? If it is Edit, then it would not be expected that Primatte Studio forms part of the purchase and would need to be purchased directly from BorisFX in order for it to be activated.

Hello and thank you for the fast and lengthy response! Unfortunately it seems you are correct on the EDIT edition of Vegas. Even though it's Vegas Pro 19, it's listed as Vegas 19 Edit in Steam. Looks like I will be stuck with chroma key unless I decide to change editions. Vegas 20 isn't currently on Steam, so I may wait. I was interested in using Primatte for the greenscreen features.

The thing is that when Steam offers Vegas Pro 20 (assuming that the Steam arrangement continues), it will likely still be only the Edit version so without any of the extras such as Primatte Studio. Time will tell of course.
