How to add 'points' to all pieces of audio automatically?

Hi, bare with me as I'm new to this forum and somewhat new to VEGAS. By mistake I've discovered the audio envelope tool and by doing so somehow also added points to all pieces of media within a track (and it's a very useful tool), however I'm unable to do so if I try adding the audio envelope tool myself (no way to be able to add 'points' to all media unless going about it one by one). How could I go about recreating this?

I'm using VEGAS Pro 21 by the way.

To create an envelope quickly, you can draw freehand envelope curves in the timeline.

With the Normal Edit or Envelope tool active, hover over an envelope. Hold Shift, and then click and drag over the envelope. The cursor is displayed as a pencil and a line with points

As you drag, a trail of envelope points is created. Release the mouse button when you're finished drawing.

If the Smooth and thin automation data after recording or drawing check box is selected on the External Control & Automation tab of the Preferences dialog, the number of envelope points will be reduced when you release the mouse.

You can also use scripts to add multiple points at set locations.

You can also copy/paste with the envelope tool. You can though add a envelope to the master or submaster buses to simultaneously control multiple tracks.

I am not aware of a setting to draw an envelope on all tracks at once.
