Hi,
Dos anyone out there know how If it’s possible to automate audio tracks in Vegas Video? If so could you school me? I would like to have certain instruments come in and out during certain parts of a tune, also I would like certain parts of some tracks have effects or different EQ settings and the program remember this during playback.
Thanks soooooooooo much in advance!

Click on your audio track. Insert/Audio Envelope/Volume from the Menu Bar. This will add a blue line across the track you selected. Right click on the blue line add Point to set up as many control points as you need to raise lower volume. Read the full manual on how to control effects by setting up extra busses. Probably the best way to control plug-ins would be to split your events as needed and set up a bunch of tracks.

By using the volume envelopes as well as setting up buss effects you can automate it much like mixing on a PM 3000. You set up a bus that is the reverb say and then control how much of the track you send to it.

I suspect from what I see and from what they have done with ACID that we may see automated effects in V4.
