How to blur a certain element (moving text) in a video?

Hey everyone,

yes, I searched the internet, but I need an efficient and reliable way to blur something in a video clip (unfortunately, it's urgent!) - it's a small piece of text that's moving around the screen (or rather the camera is moving) and should not be readable to any viewer. My preferred solution:

  • Motion tracking for easy application
  • Blur effect, so it's not readable anymore, but isn't too distracting while watching

I have no experience with such a measure - would be great if someone can give a hint or has any experience on how to do that!

Thanks so much!

(Using Vegas Pro, version 20 on WIndows 10)

@d4n Hi, Is this text a water mark on a stolen video or is it a piece of text on a document ?

You can upload sample images or video using the arrow button next to the smiley at the top of a new comment,

Use motion tracking to follow the text and apply the blur to it.
