How to blur objects and text in video?

I need to blur text like logos and brand names appearing in a video but when I use the gaussian blur with masking feature, the results is not that great. Still some amount of text remains visible. How do I make it completely blur?

Have you increased the blur settings beyond the default blur setting? And is the mask around the target area to be blurred too tight so that it allows for bleed?

My problem got solved. I used the option "apply to Fx" to "yes".
