How to burn subtitles?

I would like to "burn" subtitles on a video to make it part of a video. The dialog list is prepared in a *.ass format. Is it possible to import this dialog list to Vegas Pro?

Currently I know only one reasonable solution. I render the footage to *.mp4. Then I mux text and video to *.mkv format. And finally I use Handbrake to "burn" the subtitles. Unfortunately this is not the best method because I have to re render the video many times.
Now I need to prepare SD format for DVD. So I would have to rerender once again the *.mp4 file from Handbrake to SD.

Do you know any method or plugin to do it without this long chain of rendering?

Edit:
**** Bad word filter works. Yes, dialog list format is a very dirty word :)
Format is *. A (for alpha), S (for sierra), S (for sierra).

Thanks for the information.
Vegasaur imports dialog lists that does not contain formatting (for example *.srt). It creates separate "Sony Title & Text" events. In my case ca. 200. Each event contains a separate line of text. Unfortunately the text does not contain formatting. So I need to format every event.
I tried to save formatting as peset, but the preset saves also the text value. So if I change preset to next "Sony Title & Text" event, the text changes also.
Is there any way to paste text formatting to all events? Otherwise it will be a nightmare to format all these events one by one.

Edit:
Problem solved. Vegasaur imports text with selected preset value. So this is exactly what I've been looking for.
