Does anybody have any idea how to capture a screensaver? I know some nice screensavers worth to be captured such as Earth, Mars, Moon, Saturn (all 3d Space Tour) and Blue Galaxy. Do I need a capture card or what?
Thanks in advance ;)
I guess there must be some software out, there, & there is have one can not find it at the mo.
but if your PC has a video out, use that to record to VCR and then bring back in.
Sorry, I didn't like CamStudio. despite the fact is free! This software is more suited for the ones who wanna record some screen activity for fash movies or presentations, I guess. I think that'd be better to record the screensaver with a cam or a VHS through a video card and then get it back to the computer through a capture card. Some more ideas, pls?????????
Even with a CRT go into manual mode on the camera and wind the shutter speed done to about 1/50th, set exposure with iris.
Another way is with a scan converter but they are rather expensive.
Hi there! Nice to hearing from u, farss. You mean, I can record the screensaver (the action that goes on the pc screen) by simply following this procedure? I guess the camera must be connected to my pc through a firewire plug or whatever... Have u done that yet? Did it work? Thanks, farss.
Hi folks, that's me once again....I tried Camtasia. It's real great but I do get only 1 framerate per second. That means.....no action smoothness. Trying to disable software aceleration option doesn't do any good sice I am trying to record some screensavers that work with open gl aceleration. My system is based on an 1.7 Athlon and 1 gb ram. Any idea? Should I upgrade for 3.0 in order to get better results?
THKS IN ADVANCE
