How to change clip default properties?

I keep trying but I can't find the place to change my clips from automatically looping when dropped upon a track (and other Properties settings, such as change from Smart resample to Force resample). Please help.

right click on the clip then choose properties.
you can also right click on the clip and down at the "switches" you can uncheck "Loop"

Options - Preferences - Editing tab, UNCHECK "Enable looping on events by default"
