How to change default audio FX

When I bring a new video/audio event to the timeline, I note that three audio effects are always included: Noise Gate, EQ, and Compressor.

Is there a way to eliminate these three effects from always appearing as default?

Okay, now I see. You have to select the FX checkbox in that "Set Default" window to make it clear to VV3 that you are setting the FX properties also.

Also, I think you'll find that the 3 default FX are set to "no effect" default settings, so they're really not doinging anything to your audio until you use them.
