How to change the default transition type

Greetings All,

I have spent the last hour or so Googling and scanning this forum for the answer to how to change the default transition from crossfade to Flash or any other type of transitions and have not found a correct answer.

I'm using Movie Studio Suite 16, I found one answer her: https://bit.ly/2TKxbaC but it doesn't work! When I follow the instructions nothing happens...Even after closing Vegas and computer reboot!

It's driving me crazy because I have to change every transition manually and it it's very time consuming.

If anyone has a suggestion, it would be very appreciated.

Thanks,

X

You can't change the default transition but you can do what you want to do quite easily.

Pull all your clips onto the timeline with automatic crossfades enabled in Options/Preferences/Editing.

Change the transition between the first two clips to your desired transition. Right-click on the second clip and select Copy. Right-click again on the second clip and select 'Select Events to End'. Right-click again on the second clip and select 'Paste Event Attributes'. All the transitions should now be your desired transition.

Thanks Jack!

I don't know why I didn't think of doing that for transitions because that's what I do for event attributes.

This will save a lot of time...Cheers!
