How to delete video and leave audio for an event

Hello, I understand you can mute a video track, but I am interested in deleting a video track and leaving the audio track that originally came with the video. Can this be done for an event?

Yes, it can...easily.

Single click on the audio portion of the clip of interest on the timeline. Right click and mouse down to "Group" on the drop down menu. Select "Remove from". You have now separated the audio from the video for that clip. Single left click on that video clip to select it and press the delete key. That should do it.
