How to do 2D to 3D image effect

I'm trying to figure out how to do the 3D to 3D image effect.

I've seen something things with Movie Pro, but I only have Movie Studio. I'm going to play with Paint and Paint.net to try stuff, but anyone know how I can do this with Movie Studio HD or a combination of Movie Studio HD and Paint.NET (don't have Photoshop.)

I shouldn't expect much, but there may be someone out there that knows how to do this.

It's really relatively simple, trumpet.

The trick is to create two graphics. One is the background and the other is the bird or whatever you're using as your foreground object.

The background is usually blurred a bit.

The foreground must be a layered Photoshop file with no background layer. In other words, a file with a transparent background and your bird on a layer. Then you must save in photo format that maintains transparency -- like a transparent GIF.

Then you just put the background on one video track and the bird on a video track directly above it on your timeline and, using Event Pan/Crop, create a separate animation for each event clip.

You can see something similar I created in another program on this page. Just click on the link that says "Trick #13: Make Your Photo Look 3D." But it's certainly possible to do it in Vegas Movie Studio also.
