Are you wanting to use a video as a background for all you DVD menus?

Not sure what you are referring to.

Sorry if i am way off.

Not exactly: what I am trying to do is use the videos I am putting on the DVD to make small animated video buttons on the DVD menu. I can do this easily on my iBook using iDVD, but I can't find a way to do it with DVDA.

Thank you!

Select a thumbnail button.

Under Media / Thumbnail Properties change Still to Animated.

Thank you! I'll try that tonight. WHY is that not referred to somewhere in the Show Me or Help files? (At least it's not listed by "Motion Menu".)

I assume you can set the start and stop points for the thumbnail video?

Yep. Also. you don't have to do one button at a time. If you CTRL+Click on the various buttons, you can changed them all to "animation" at the same time.

IMO, the start postion slider does not have enough resolution as it jumps forward too much for my liking (depending on the clip length). IMS, you can't set an end time, per se, but you can set the duration of the clip. I'm sure someone can correct me on this if I'm wrong...

DVDA can animate the buttons for you. Besides, there are thousands of ways to make motion menus. A good start is to use Vegas to help you render the video files for menus like this.
Cheers!
