How to do the rings in the Buck Rogers intro

Can anyone suggest how I would go about doing the Buck Rogers "rings" in Vegas Movie Studio? If you have a look at this youtube video at around the 30 second mark you will see a series of rings that zoom towards the viewer, each with different footage inside - is this able to be done in Vegas?

Unfortunately, this YouTube video is blocked from viewing in the US.

But, yes, you can have video of different shapes as picture-in-picture effects in Vegas MS.

The easiest way is to use one of the Cookie Cutter effects.

Okay, I think I found another copy of your video.

Yes, you can do that with the Cookie Cutter effect. But it is going to take several layers of video and some keyframed animations! Much easier in a program like After Effects.

Thanks - I don't have After Effects so I'll have to give it a go with the cookie cutter in Vegas!
