...how to "enrich" a poor sound clip...

... got a 10 second clip of a sound effect I took off the net from a freebee site.... It's 8K and mono... sounds weak and crappy but I absolutely need that effect in the production ... what can I do in Vegas to enrich/enhance/beef-up the clip for maximum effect..? ... TIA for any suggestions...

You can always beef it with normalization, EQ, maybe some psuedo stereo effect/delay, chorusing, compression...
