How To Freeze Image during playback?

Can someone provide me advice on how to freeze a portion of video during playback? For example. I have a 10 second clip, I want to freeze the video at the 3 second mark for 5 seconds.. then resume playback from that point. Possible? Thanks!

Go to the point on the timeline you want to freeze, hit 'S' on your keyboard to split the clip there, go to your preview window and set preview to 'Best' then 'Full', click on the 'save snapshot to file' icon, move the rest of the clip to the left with 'auto ripple' enabled, insert snapshot, grab right edge of pic and drag to desired length.
