YT can time some time to get all the versions uploaded. I normally use a slightly modified mp4 variant for 1080 videos & they always eventually get a 1080 stream up on YT.

If you're using Internet Explorer 11 on Windows 7, YouTube will treat you like an ugly step-child only streaming 720p.

Chrome and newer browsers will be treated to higher pixel dimensions.

I use Pale Moon (v27.3) for browsing. I have an extension that adds a button to YouTube that allows downloads. I don't have any problems watching HD video. My problem is that HD videos I've uploaded to YouTube are not resulting in HD videos to download. I only upload one version of a video and do it manually (not through Vegas). Is there a way to upload more than one version? How do people prepare and upload videos for YouTube. Thanks.

Nothing special. My videos have a 1080 & 720 option in YT and I upload with the Internet mp4 template.
