How to increase thumbnails displayed in VP10

Total newbie... probably stupid question... but the video I have been working sooo hard on... now has very few thumbnails and I can't see the still graphics I have embedded... I need to swap out a graphic... but can't even see it in the timeline... :-( Please help

The "Search" feature on these forums is very helpful:

Once you have all thumbnails enabled, expand the timeline if there is a specific scene you cannot see.

soooo HOW exactly did this preference get changed to begin with... I sure didn't change it....

EDIT: Update... I figured it out (with help on anotehr thread)... I had nested video into new one to pan/crop it.. and was trying to edit the new nested one... instead opened original and edited... then opened nested/cropped version... it updated itself with the edited one (soooo cool!) and VOILA! THANK YOU! :-) gg
