How to integrate Spectralayer into Vegas?

The Vegas 17 promotional video and the Spectralayers documentation both indicate that Spectralayers can be integrated into the Vegas editing workflow and that "Every audio modification you do in SpectraLayers is automatically transferred to the host during playback or rendering, and saved with your host project."

Anyone know how to do this. I can open my audio track in spectralayers and make changes but none of the changes are reflected in Vegas.

Assuming that you have SpectraLayers (SL) selected as your preferred audio editor in Vegas Pro under Options/Preferences/Audio, and that you have right clicked the audio event on the VP timeline and selected "Open in Audio Editor", then when you export from SL make sure that you select the "Replace Project Audio" option from the File selection, as per:
