How to load P2 files in order?

I have an HVX200P and the P2 files do not load onto the timeline in the correct order. The clip names are auto generated by the camera and are in order based on the first 4 digits of the file name but I think Sony is also reading the 5th and 6th characters which can be numbers or letters. An example is the clips could look like this (0001aa.mxf, 00020f.mxf, 0003af.mxf) These are in order in the camera and on the P2 Viewer but Sony sees the second clip as 20 no 2 and puts it last.
Thanks for the help, I have read the manual but can't figure it out

Yes auto gen by camera, but sort order in an NLE (vegas Pro included) is actually determined by the parameters of the OS of the platform.

In order to accomodate name ordering on an OS you would have to use a multiple file renaming tool and there are many iterations of those.

Note that an OS has the ability to always sort on date order if the date/time can be interpreted correctly. However, I am not sure that whether you really want name order or date order.

In the explorer tab in Vegas, I usually just navigate to video on P2 card and click on "Last Modified." Clips are now in order by time of day.
