Hi,
I have a 10 second audio clip (recorded from a video camera) and I want it to make it sound like it was a phone call (sounding like it's coming from a phone)...

I'm trying the audio track effects but to no avail....any quick help?
Thanks

There was a detailed discussion of this about three? years ago on this forum. Do a search.

I did before posting..unless its under a different keyword than a simple "phone effect" or "talking thru the phone"..

it'll depend on the phone type; each has a different range... but

here's a quick recipe
load Track EQ / Comp

Track EQ: set the high & low shelf at 300Hz & 2500Hz, add a narrow boost at 600 Hz.
Track Comp: Threshold at -18dB, Amount 5:1, quicker attack/med release

try a touch of Resonant Filter "Teenage Late-Night Radio by the Bed" filter, or Amplitude Modulation for color/distortion if wanted

Just add a "Parametric EQ" and then choose the "Phone Line" preset.

If you have Sound Forge, there is a phone line effect preset under the Parametric EQ menu item.
