How To Move Frame by Frame

The manual says to use the left and right arrow keys to move frame-by-frame. Unfortunately what this does for me is to move several frames instead of single frame-by-frame. The reason I am doing this is to trim out bad frames throughout the entire home movie.

Hold the CTRL key down while hitting the left and right arrow key. That will move one frame regardless of timeline zoom level.

I think it's ALT-LeftArrow and ALT-RightArrow to move one frame at a time (rather than CTRL)

I tried both CTRL and ALT, and it is the ALT that works. Thanks so much.
