How to overcome the 4GB file limitation in WinXp ?

Hi,
Let's say I want to capture 60 Min from analog source into DV format thru the AV/DV
Pinnacle board.
I will do this in Studio 7.
The result will be 4 files (Because the 4GB limit in WinXp)
Ok lets say I don't have a problem here. Now I import the files to VV3 and edit them in order to create a complete movie let's say 45 min long.
I will render it in order to create AVI standard DV file that will be convert to analog thru the "print to tape" feature in the Studio 7.(I want to make a VHS tape)
and to only way I can convert to analog is thru the Studio 7 SW).
I checked it with small DV file and it works just fine.
But rendering more the 17min and 15 sec in DV format will create an error message I assume after reaching the limit file size in WinXP)
So how to print to tape then ?
I must render first don't I ?
Even if I buy a DV device I still have the same problem. No matter what I do I still need to render before outputting to tape Don't I ?
So what to do ?
Thanks.
Lior

In order to overcome the 4gig limit in XP, you need to format your drives as NTFS. You must still have them as FAT32. If you use NTFS, you will have no practical file size limit.

exactly, ntfs will give you unlimited file size--or at least the size of your hard drive
i upgraded to XP for just that reason when it came out

It sounds like it is Studio 7 that has the file size limit. First, verify the drives are formatted in NTFS. If they are, XP is NOT causing the file size limits. Next, check the size of the file created by Vegas Video. If that is greater than 4 Gig, you have proof that XP and Vegas are not limiting the file size. Which comes back to Studio 7 - if it can play small files but not large files, the Studio 7 has a built-in limit. XP and Vegas should be able to use your entire hard drive as one file.
