How to precisely add a take

I have two audio clips on seperate tracks on my timeline lined up perfectly, how would I add a take? All the help file take instructions talk about right dragging the clip to the timeline from the explorer/media ad selecting add as a take. I already have the tracks time stretched and beat mixed. I usually mp3 them panned l/r and use channel l/r only, but thought there might be a better way, thanks!!!

ok - You have an Event already on the timeline. Now select and Right Drag another Event from the Project Media; Explorer; Media Manager or even a Scrubbed Selection from Trimmer ( now that's Kool! )and as you Drop it on the EXSISTING T/L event you get a POP-UP menu which allows you to select from:

* Add Across Time

* Add Across Tracks (if you have a multiple selection, you haven't, so don't worry )

* Add As Takes

You choose "Add as Take". Once having this NEW Event added as a TAKE, I can Audition this section by having LOOP PLAYBACK engage and as it plays pressing "T" to allow me to hear/see the effect of the Take OR if I keep hitting "T" I can experience as many Takes as I plopped onto the Event!

I use this function a lot. I get many ideas from allowing the Event to play and judging the effect of a given Take. I suppose that could also be "Give 'n Take"! LOL

. .Locate your "other" audio from where you have it and right drag to the existing Event. This will add this 2nd event as a Take to the first. By hitting "T" you now make the 2nd Event "live".

OR . . IF your 2nd Event isn't existing as a piece of media then I'd OPEN the 2nd Event in Trimmer, make a selection and then do the Right Drag thing.
