How to render from Vegas for DVDA?

I'm confused about how to best render from Vegas for a standard DVD using DVD Architect.

One help seems to say I can render from Vegas and save DVD Architect from having to recompress... but that help file confuses this newbie with all the choices.

Another help file seems to indicate I can use the Template DVD NTSC but that template is not a choice in my Vegas 4.0d Build 205.

I simply want to do rendedr for a typical stereo DVD and have a few icons on the menu to jump into the DVD at several points.

How should I render my Vegas Project to do this?

Thanks for any help.

I received this answer from Sony eight months ago when asking a similar question:

DVDA Workflow

The best way to redner from Vegas for export to DVD Architect:

Render the video using "Save As Type" MainConcept MPEG-2 (*.mpg) and Template DVD Architect NTSC video stream (or PAL video stream for Europe). When this is finished, render the audio using the "Save As Type" Dolby Digital AC-3 (*.ac3) and Template Stereo DVD, and use the exact same file name as the video, except you use the "ac3" extension instead of "mpg".

To do these two things as one operation, you can use a batch script. The are available here:

See this post:

I actually provided the code for one of these scripts here:
