How to render section as 1 avi file?

If I Pre-Render a section of my project I get a number of AVI files...

How can render a section of my project as a continious AVI file?

Hi Will. If you drag the cursor across part of the timeline you will create a time selection. Then you can go to the File/Render As menu, and choose to render your selection as an AVI file (actually you can choose many different output formats, but if your project is DV and you want to use the rendered clip, it is best to render as DV).
