How to set specific snapping grid for Measures & Beats ruler?

Hi!

I do a lot of audio-related editing in Vegas, so the Measures & Beats ruler is my default. However, the behavior of this ruler is a bit strange. The snapping grid looks and behaves perfectly as one would expect when zoomed out a bit, where it defaults to every beat, like this:

But let's say I want to slice a single beat on one of the tracks into quarter notes (1/4ths). I zoom in a bit, expecting the grid to default to a musically-sensible value (like, quarter notes if I zoom in a little bit, eights if I zoom in a bit more, etc), but instead, I get this:

...this isn't quarter notes. This isn't anything. The snapping interval determined by zoom level feels completely arbitrary unless I'm missing something obvious. In order to get a reasonable grid I have to zoom in so much that it becomes inconvenient to make edits.

So my question is, is there any way to change this default snapping behavior? I've searched around and looked through the settings as much as I can but I haven't found any answers. I kinda refuse to believe that it's like this by design, so I'm hoping it can be changed somehow. I'm using VEGAS Pro 14 if it matters. Thanks in advance!

I set ruler always to Time&Frames, Enable Snapping and Snap to Grid and set Grid Spacing to what I need.

Normally always to the Measure (4 or 8 Beats). With a BPM analyzer I analyze the BPM of used audio and set that BPM in the Project Properties. Align once the audio to this grid and start editing accordingly this grid.

Ah, so that's where the option was hiding! Thank you very much, that solved my problem :)
