The coolest tool I've seen for this is the Zenote product. www.zenote.com
I've used it just yesterday on a training vid.

WHat's the name of the product spot?

Zenote's Random plug in.

You might also want to try Roger 74’s (Roger Magnusson) free script called Vegas Quake. You can see an example of it in use at www.vegasusers.com/vidshare It’s really good at shaking things up.

Don't forget the film filter too...it has jitter.

Film Filter? In vegas Spot?
Spot|DSE wrote on 4/3/2004, 8:20 AM
Yes, in Vegas you'll find Film Effects in the Filters tab. Turn off the hair, dust, scratches, and you'll find jitter in there.

The jitter is pretty small compared to the "shake" script, however.

Agreed, but he was asking if it's even there. The Zenote and Quake are both much more powerful than the jitter in the Film Effects plug. But...it's also free and there.

Is there a script that would place appropriate keys on the timeline on both sides of the "m" mark that would allow the Jitter fx to be keyed instantly according to those marks?
I mean, there would be this sequence on both sides of the marker:

fx-none / fx-according to your parameters / "M" / fx-according to your parameters / fx-none

That would allow one to adjust the lenght of the fx (between the two keys) and the "attack" and "release" times on boths sides of the marker.
ANyway, just a thought... since I never used this effect up to now.

Also, I have this feeling that if you add some supersampling (just between 1 and 3 frames level) to these jitters (ie keyed the same way) it will probably strenghten the effect itself since the displacement between 2 frames generated by Jitter is sometimes big. The supersampling would try to "follow" and the trick would be to set it so it has "difficulty" following these "extreme" displacements positions...
