How to share /collaborate with an Adobe PREMIER editor

So I got a project started in VEGAS PRO 19, with the intention of getting it roughed out and then passing it to a colleague to finish, he uses PREMIER, so I, of course, used the EXPORT function to EXPORT as a Premier/ AFTER EFFECTS .pproj) file in a folder with all the relevant media assets. He has made several attempts to open what I sent him and has not been able to.

What are we missing, how can we accomplish this?

AATranslator can convert project files to cross-app formats for import/export

@AaronL Hi, sorry I know this won't be any help.

I exported a very simple project as a Premier/ AFTER EFFECTS .pproj

It shows in the Windows folder but AE doesn't recognise it when you try to open project 🤷‍♂️

If i drag n drop that project into AE i get this

Which becomes this

I tried a different clip on the timeline, a ProRes file created with Adobe Media Encoder, Importing that project in AE resulted in an almost immediate crash.

My premier collaborator suggests exporting from VEGAS as EDL or AAF - I dont see those options is this possible?

Sorry I haven't got a clue from then on, it creates a text file & just loads into AE blank, 🤷‍♂️

EDL is possible from the File/Export option:

I can't attest to how it functions because I haven't had a need to use it thus far.

@AaronL Hi, I've watched a few vids & found no reason why the Premier/ AFTER EFFECTS .pproj won't work 🤷‍♂️

The AAF seems to be an old function no longer available, it's not in the Save As option & I can't see it anywhere else,
