How to simulate DOF in 3D ?

Hi,

I have 3 tracks, each constist of one slide, are located in different places in 3D (different values on Z axis). I have inserted parent track 3D alpha and I'm moving parent (as container) because I don't have camera movement and must simulate that "world is moving".

How to achieve effect of DOF in this case ? When container is going to me (simulates camera is going forward) then objects very close to me should be defocused. I can't find the trick to automate this process in Vegas (it's trivia if you have 3d scene and camera simulations like in 3d apps) ...

And what is practical meaning of option "match camera view" ? (under right click).

I've just used Gaussian Blur in the past however some of the new FXs might be better and faster to render. No way to automate this in Vegas that I know of. I've just used manually added keyframes to control the amount of GB.
