Welcome to the forum.

What are your project properties, gif properties etc. Basically, more information is needed to give suggestions.

You could Ctrl-drag trailing edge of the gif event to slow it down.

Okay, my properties are this:
=>Custom(640x480)
=>Frame Rate 30 fps
=>Everything else I believe is default/factory
=>It possesses a lot of text
and I seem to have some slight trouble with a .wmv fading in or out during playback. Of course I occasionally have one or two playback issues.
I tried what you suggested, but I didn't render it with the gif in that state. I think I was looking for a smoother playback experience.

Simplest thing to do is to open the .GIF file in a .GIF editor and change the frame rate there, then save it as a new file. The frame rate is measured in milliseconds, so to match 30fps as closely as possible you should set the frame delay to 33.

If you want an exact match, save each frame of the .GIF as a separate still image file, with each frame number sequentially like frame0001.gif frame0002.gif frame0003.gif, etc., and then import them as an image sequence. This will let you set an exact frame rate to match your project, or any other rate as you wish.

Good thing I have GIMP, then.

The free Photoscape has a wonderful, high quality Animated GIF creator/editor, and it's quite a bit easier to use than Gimp.

I'm just gonna use it to change the frame rate. I know how to do that. I'll look Photoscape up, though.

However, upon looking at the image's properties in the timeline, I saw something about both the playback and undersample rates. Changing the playback rate seemed to affect how quickly the gif was animated. I'm gonna try to render it again. Wish me luck.

Re-rendering with the altered playback rate worked! The gif is no longer running at high speed! If I can and am allowed to post hyperlinks, the video in question is here. If not, well, just highlight the address that is no doubt visible...
