How to use Linear Wipe Transition to apply split Screen

vvxp wrote on 8/30/2002, 10:11 PM
Base on the Linear Wipe Transition Help Menu,This transition can be frozen at a halfway point of a convenient split screen effect using keyframe animation techniques. But I can't find the way to change the Linear Wipe Keyframe to apply this feature.

I know there is other way to do it, but anyone has tried this feature b4?

Actually, I don't think the wipe can stop, despite the help indicating it can.

I'd keyframe a mask with a generated background to do it quickly. You could also use pan/crop but you might not get the option of soft edges.

It will be great to enchance this feature - static effect, in Transitions like Iris, Linear Wipe, etc in next gen. so we can very easy to apply PinP in vary ways. Thanks

You might be able to use the Cookie Cutter for some of these effex. It is quite useful for PinP.

How to use and where to get the Cookie Cutter?

The cookie cutter should be on the Video FX options. Use two tracks of Video. Drag the cookie cutter to the top track, and play with the settings. It basically cuts a hole in one track, revealing the second track.
