How to Use V8 for 3d-style Non-rect. Aspect Ratio?

Hi - I'm creating a motion graphic design in V8 in which I have a z-axis type 3d move..

I need to be able to have a regular SD video clip have a non-rectangular aspect ratio, eg where say the left side of the clip is 500 pixels high and the right side is 400 pixels... any ideas on how to do that?

In other words, I need to be able to squash/compress one side only, of a regular avi clip, and 'move' it from front to rear of the screen, so it has a more 3-d look.

I tried doing this in pan/crop, but it only allows straight resizing, not the ability to change skew/change one side only of the video window - any ideas?

Here's a photo showing what I want to achieve, basically just a 3d style look from regular square source avi footage, how can I skew/compress one side in V8 to do this? (I'd rather not have to use AE and motion track it, since that's hard)..

Hey jimmy, Thanks!!! I owe you, that was a tough one that I'd never have figured out in a million years myself... you're absolutely right.. click 3D source alpha, then move the upper left "front" slider, to get a 3d look - much appreciated.

Let me paypal you $25 for your answer, or you can have a comp. copy of either of my www.writingadwords.com or www.copywritinguniversity.com dvds, let me know - just email me at ken at daytradinguniversity dot com. ... and same goes for anyone else who's answered one of my recent questions (eg the first person to answer w/correct solution), much appreciated!

I do rtfm/watch the tutorial videos, and have been using vegas since V4, but a lot of these advanced things are beyond me - so it's great having answers from everyone here.

regards,

ken

people have said (I can't confirm) that satish's 3d plugin works a LOT faster then 3d track motion. could be worth looking in to (http://www.debugmode.com/)
