Human assistance for "Too many activation codes" ?

I have had Sony Vegas Movie Studio Platinum 8 since 2008.
However, after several years of upgraded OS and computers, I guess I am at the end of my activation code allowance.
With that being said I am attempting to follow the instructions on the Error 41: "Too many activation codes" page:

Wherein it states: "This is a common occurrence. When you reach one of these limits, you will not be able to register again until you contact customer service. There is no way to resolve this error without assistance."
Easy enough, so I click the "Click Here" link provided within the text for customer service. Which leads me to 800.577.6642

Unfortunately, this seems to be a 100% automated loop of instructions for various services including pressing #7 software registration.
However, all options seem to run automated loops with no option to talk to a live representative, and pressing zero, #, whatever only keeps me in the loop or starts the auto-loop again.

How do I talk to a live customer representative to resolve "There is no way to resolve this error without assistance"...?
