Invoke the Vegas help and specify on the index tab the word 'metadata' - metadata only works with WM player if the option is enabled in the player, and by default, it's not.

Thanks very much for that Scott.
Since I have to rely on others (potentially thousands!!) to make sure the option is turned on, I think I'll forget about doing this.

I can remember the first time a video launched a website on me. I thought for sure I had caught a virus or something. Until that point I didn't realize such a thing was possible. Is it also possible to launch an embedded exe file? Why would MS allow such a feature? I like my videos to be strictly a one way affair.

I'm with Jim. I think you'll find that having a video file do other things with the user's computer than just playing will turn people off way more than it will attract them.

Not sure, but embedded script code on the target website can do the same thing. I equate this "feature" with a hijacking of my computer, and cringe when it happens.

Not a good customer experience.
